I have loaded 5. If you have any trouble I would be happy to walk you through it when I have time. Good luck. Originally Posted by olta By chance, would you have suggestions for our Telus people?

After many many tries I get the 5. Then it wipes out my BBM and the app memory shows it is in my bb someplace. VZW tech people do not know how to help a customer helps me more. There are many improvements.. Yes the upgrade to 5. I bought it the next day and i use it for T-mobile with all its features.
I just couldnt wait for the Bold Awesome review. I just got finished posting a screenshot, step by step guide to installing OS for the Storm on Tmobile using App Loader. This is a great list of features for the 5. This update is cool and it is so bad at the same time.
This just reminds me why Apple is Apple and everything else is a product of Microshaft not ensuring their software works before putting it out. I have several issues with the 5.
The way text messages are now stored is not functional. It puts all of the messages from the same sender into one location and it mashes them all together. You can not start a new message and keep just that correspondence.
Now it puts all of the texts that were made with that one person in one, so when you go to review that particular stream of replies it is just added to all the others. New text messages or the ones listed at the top are frozen and can not be opened intermittently. Not more than anything This is just annoying. You get a new text and can not open it. I found if I start a new text string not reply with that persons name it will then open the new message … so stupid.
The other is the way the voice call feature is hanging up now. It does not give the sound when waiting for a reply as before, and only randomly will actually call a number after it says it is calling. The last issue is with Device Memory. Applications will not function or the phone will just freeze like a lame PC computer.
Then it will say it is due to the Device Memory being full. I only have like 4 applications that I chose to download, and today it said the application memory was full and asked if I wanted to delete the following applications.
I want to like this phone and it does have some great features when it works. But after seeing and using the I-Phones that my friends have it looks like a worthless little imitator of another kick butt Apple product. I would not have gotten this but Verizon does not have the I-phone and the coverage of Verizon is so much better than att that I had to stick with them … thus the Blackberry.
I updated my phone after i was forced to by my phone itself so i thought what the hell. After it taking like hlf an hour! How can i unlock my blackberry storm And how to get a country code for blackberry storm plz send me it hurp…. Almost eight years on, I sympathize.
Mine, however, has turned-out to be a fine little time capsule circa October When I recently woke my Storm from its long slumber of nearly six and one-half years I was pleased to find many photos of loved ones which are now departed, saved voicemails that contain the voices of some of those same departed loved ones and photos of a car I'd bought in August of ' Best wishes from August 13th, You're all connected to a network? This model, to my chagrined surprise, doesn't have WiFi.
We used them right away to good effect. I've got 17 minutes worth of fireworks from the 4th of July, , on my Storm which has been backed-up on many computers and hard drives since. I've recently developed a desire to go back through all of my old, 'extinct' devices to see what period-media I could glean from them.
