I have been wanting an update of this game since it was released in the 's. Recruit troops, equip them, train them, see them gain experience. Give each regiment a unique name, send them into battle, replace their losses afterwards. And real-life tactics worked!

A true GOG! Please add this game. Spent many hours playing this and finding different ways to win or lose. A true undervalued gem. Why can't game developers go to great games like this, upgrade the graphics and user interface and sell it! I spent ages mastering this game it was so complex and some battles were epic victories. I have fond memories of this, although I cannot remember if I had it as a C64 or Amiga title.

I would assume the Amiga version looks better for today's tastes, at least compared to the PC version of the day late 80's. I would buy this game for certain. The first computer game I ever owned, and the first strategy game I ever played, I'd love to see this become available. Heck, more SSI games in general would be lovely! I felt for an old school strategy game, then I Googled it, and wow I was amazed that someone have it available for download. I had to Google for the manual, and found it elsewhere, Thanks! Never mind the negative comments.. Sword of Aragon was THE best strategy game at the time. Today the games bring the imagination to life. Back then, your mind had to visualize all those things, even the story in the manual, one had to visualize and imagine it, and it was awesome. Pity it was never followed up with other additions for example like the Final Fantasy series, it would have been awesome.

Repo 2 points. I played this amazing TBS for hours on end on the Amiga and competed it several times. This is a fantastic strategy game and it's a massive shame there isn't more like it.
